Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç, Brain and Pituitary Surgeon, Dean of İstinye University Faculty of Medicine, Founding Dean of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences
Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç is a professor of neurosurgery and a scientist who tries to understand the brain. Dr. Kılıç, who studied at Hacettepe, Marmara and Harvard Universities, completed his doctorate in anatomy. Prof. Kılıç was elected to the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2015 and to the World Academy of Arts and Sciences in December 2021. Türker Kılıç is the only scientist in our country to be elected to these two important Academies. Prof. Kılıç, who currently serves as Dean of İstinye University Faculty of Medicine, is also the Founding Dean of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Kılıç is the academic who has served as the Dean of Medicine for the longest time in our country. Prof. Kılıç has taught as a guest lecturer at more than 10 universities, primarily Harvard Medical School, Yale, Milan Polytechnic and Johns Hopkins Universities. Kılıç has been honored with over 100 professional achievement awards, including the European Association of Neurosurgery (EANS) Aesculap Scientific Research Award in 1999 and the American Association of Neurosurgery Societies' Tumor Research Awards in 2001 and 2005.
Dr. Kılıç has performed surgical treatments on over 30,000 patients using microsurgery and gamma-knife surgery methods. During this process, he has played a role in the training of 49 of his students as neurosurgeons and the development of over 400 medical students as physicians. Dr. Kılıç, who has an H-index of 40 and has received over 6,000 citations for over 200 scientific publications, has made significant contributions to the discovery of the drug Glivec, which was found for various Brain Surgery Methods and Brain Tumors but is mainly used in blood cancer. He is one of the first to use Gamma-Knife Beam Surgery in Türkiye and the first to initiate the Tumor Bank and Operating Room MR technique applications. In addition to scientific research, Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç, who works on Medical Education and Science Education, has had his speeches on science and science education watched by more than 10 million people on the internet. Dr. Kılıç is the founding president of the Turkish Brain Foundation, which was established in 2020, and the Istanbul Neurological Sciences Institute. Dr. Kılıç is the author of the book titled “New Science: Connectivity, New Culture: Life Partnership”, which was published by Ayrıntı Publications in February 2021 and has a total of 8 editions. Prof. Dr. Kılıç's autobiography was also published by Epsilon Publishing House, under the signature of Mert İnan, under the title “A Life Adventure from Brain to Life: Türker Kılıç”. Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç is also the author of the book titled "How Can We Build a Better and More Beautiful Life? The Answer of Brain Science" published by Doğan Publications in September 2024.

Prof. Dr. Tamsin Jillian Meaney, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway
Tamsin Meaney is professor in mathematics education. She has been involved in teacher education programmes and supervised post-graduate students in New Zealand, Australia, Sweden and Norway. She is a highly productive mathematics education researcher with more than a 100 peer reviewed publication. Her specialities are in Indigenous education, early childhood education and teacher professional development. She has presented keynotes in several countries around the world. Presently, she is the research leader of a large Norwegian Research Council funded project on "Learning about teaching argumentation for critical mathematics education in multilingual classrooms" that will run from 2018-2021. She is also running a project as part of the Kindergarten Knowledge (Kindknow) - Centre for Systemic Research on Diversity and Sustainable Futures.

Prof. Dr. Salihj Çepni, Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Education, Türkiye
Salih Çepni was born in 1963 in Trabzon. He completed his primary and secondary education in Trabzon. In 1986, he graduated from the Physics Education program at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU). In 1987, he began working as a research assistant at the same institution. In 1988, he was sent abroad by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to pursue his graduate studies. He completed his master’s degree in science education at the University of New Brunswick in 1990 and earned his Ph.D. in science education from the University of Southampton in 1993. In 1994, he began working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education, KTU Fatih. He became an Associate Professor in 1997. Between 1997 and 1999, he took part in the Higher Education Council–World Bank National Education Development Project. He became a Full Professor in 2003. Currently working at Bursa Uludağ University, Çepni also serves as the dean of the Faculty of Education.
